Sweaty Betty Blues Band
Pittsburgh's Blues dancers favorite band will kick off the weekend. Marcy Brown performed for 14 years with Pittsburgh's Jack Purcell Orchestra before forming the Sweaty Betty Blues Band with her husband, drummer Bill Brown. Bill was a rock drummer for twenty years in the Pittsburgh area. Chicago-born lead guitar player and vocalist, George Kalantzis also has been a musician for twenty years. He has opened for many national acts including Glen Frey and the Eagles, 10,000 Maniacs and Todd Rundgren. Bass player Duane Davis is a full-time guitar, bass and drums teacher also with over twenty year's playing experience. Finally, the newest member of the band is Keyboardist John DeCola (aka Johnny Money) from Slippery Rock, PA. Yes you doubting West Coasters there really is a Slippery Rock.

Ms Freddye and the Blue Faze Band
Ms. Freddye and the Blue Faze Band have been together for several years now. Pittsburgh is famous for its "Bar Bands" - bands that play hard rockin', kick
* ss blues (like Sweaty Betty). Ms. Freddye brings us a more soulful sound, but their rhythms are no less danceable. When they played EOM Blues for the first time, we got more requests to "bring them back" than for any other band so far. Check out some of their tunes on their myspace page. -
Bonedog Records All-Stars
Saturday night's Swing City Dance will feature a line-up of Pittsburgh blues all-stars. Jeff Ingersoll, Head BoneDaddy of Bonedog Records, Pittsburgh's home of the blues (Billy Price, Jimmy Adler, Dr. Zoot, Eugene Morgan and Bobby Peckman, to name just a few of the label's headliners) has put together a band that will amaze you. Let's start with the rhythm section of Jeff on bass, Jr Smoke on drums, and blues dance favorite, Gil Snyder on keyboards. Randall Troy on guitar and vocals and a horn section featuring former Roomful of blues and current Jimmy Adler band member, Erid Spaulding. Last but not least, the amazing Annie Sutton will be hear to wake you up, in case anyone is sleepy! Don't be surprised if some other well know Burgh blues musicians show to see all the great dancing.
